Welcome

The EAPCCT looks forward to welcoming you to the Palma de Mallorca in Spain for the 43rd International Congress of the EAPCCT from 23rd – 26th May 2023. This will be a physical congress. However, the sessions will be recorded for subsequent on-demand viewing on a virtual platform so delegates can attend or view every presentation of both parallel sessions. All posters will be available on the virtual platform too.

Palma, the Balearic Islands' capital city has always been a centre of Mediterranean culture and history. What distinguishes it from other cultures is the fusion of the traditions and influences that have developed over time. The growth of the city was influenced by notable civilizations as the Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Muslims, and Christians. A stroll through the old city will reveal the influence of these cultures on the city, while it seduces you with its rich offer of culture, art, gastronomy and nightlife. Well communicated with most of Western Europe, Palma opens the door to explore the island of Mallorca and the rest of the Balearic Islands, and warmly welcomes visitors all year long.

The Congress venue, Palma Auditorium, is situated on the Maritime Promenade, in the heart of the bay, next to the island's top hotels, and just ten minutes from the airport. It offers one of the best panoramic views of the city, the sea and more especially, the port. Its facilities offer some of Palma’s most attractive concerts and theatre events and will be a great place to showcase the EAPCCT’s scientific programme.

The venues for the Welcome reception and the Congress dinner are in the process of being finalised. Watch this space!

The congress will once again be organised by Grupo Pacifico, our experienced Professional Congress Organisers, whom many of you have met before.

We look forward to seeing you and to welcoming you for four or more days of stimulating company in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
